The pads send triggers to a microcontroller which sends MIDI data to a computer running Renoise.

I really wanted an electronic drum set but could never justify the cost of buying a real one. So I made one myself with used drum pads from ebay, retired lamps found on the side of the street, a box from a thrift store, and some guitar patch cables. I used an Audiofront eDRUMin to send data to the computer and Renoise to manage and process the drum sounds.
